Now You Can Finish The Run You Set Out On, With Your Arch Held From Underneath, From Day One.

Without another month off it, another pair of cushioned shoes, or another insole that props the arch from underneath while it does the same work.

And the rest of it was aimed at inflammation. Ice, anti-inflammatories, the cortisone shot. Plantar fasciitis stops being inflammation after about four weeks. Yours did too. That is why none of it held.

✓ Compression across the arch, so far less of each stride pulls on the heel

✓ Straps that take up the slack, so it is doing the same job on your last mile as your first

✓ Back on the start line, for the one you had to pull out of

✓ Going back up in mileage instead of staying at the number you cut down to

I am scared running on it will make it worse. Does this help or just mask it?

It does not mask anything. There is nothing in it that numbs or dulls pain.

What it changes is the load. Your heel hurts because the arch flattens and stretches the band attached to it, and that happens on every stride. Hold the arch and less of that pull reaches the sore part, every stride, for the whole run.Taping the arch is the one thing for this pain with randomised trials behind it, and this is that, in something that is still on at the end of the run.

And because it is the support carrying it, those strides cost your foot nearly nothing, close to what they cost before any of this started. That is the run you get back.

I already have insoles and orthotics. Why would this be any different?

An insole is a shape you stand on. It stops the arch dropping as far as the shape goes, and that is all it can do.

The straps wrap under the arch and lift it, and they take up what the shape underneath leaves. Your arch gives way less under the same weight, your heel takes less of the pull on every stride, and you get further into the run before it starts. You set how much, so the long run gets more than the easy three.

And you can use both. Your insole stays in the shoe, this goes on over it like a sock.

Will it fit inside my shoes?

Yes. There is no padding and nothing rigid, so it adds about what a thick sock adds, strap included.

It still adds a layer. If a pair is already tight on you, it will be tighter with this in it.

How it works

A torn band is holding your arch up. This takes part of the load off it.

It runs from your heel to your toes, under the arch. Every time your weight comes down, the arch wants to spread, and that band is the only thing stopping it. The pull lands on the end that is fixed to your heel, which is why that is the spot that tears and the spot that hurts.

A healthy one takes it and recovers. Yours has been taking it on every stride for months and has not had the chance.

Compression across the arch
Step 1

Compression across the arch

The sleeve compresses the whole foot, and the firmest part of it sits across the arch. So the arch gives way less under the same weight, the band is pulled less far, and far less of that pull arrives at your heel.

On every stride you run, for as long as you have it on.

Because the sleeve is carrying part of it, each stride costs your heel a fraction of what it costs you now. The pain starts much later in the run, and there is far less of it when it does.

Two strap adjustment
Step 2

Two strap adjustment

The straps wrap under the arch and pull up from both sides, cross over the top of your foot and lock at the ankle. That is the same direction arch taping pulls in, and arch taping is the one thing for this pain with randomised trials behind it. This is that, without taping your foot before every run.

You set how much support your foot gets, and it stays where you set it. Firmer for the long run, easier for the easy days.

So it does not fade on you. Your last mile gets the same support as your first, and on the day your foot wants more than that, you give it more.

Held by the shape of your foot
Step 3

Held by the shape of your foot

It anchors on the two places nothing can slide past: in behind the heel, and across the instep. The ankle lock finishes the job.

So it stays exactly where you put it. Nothing to reach down and fix halfway through, nothing bunching up inside the shoe.

You put it on with your shoes and spend the run thinking about the run.

Three parts, one job.

The compression makes the arch give way less. The straps wrap under the arch and lift it, and you set how much. The heel and the instep keep all of it where you put it.

So far less of that pull reaches your heel on every stride, for the whole run. Which is why it hurts far less, and why the miles you can do in it are close to the ones you used to do.

This foot sleeve has been tremendous as part of long term rehabilitation of my plantar fasciitis, which I had endured many months of no running before attempting to actively resolve. Has definitely helped recovery and prevents recurrence of pain during training for yet another marathon.

When i first tried it, i felt it supported but did not improve the condition. However, After sticking with it for several days in a row i found good improvement and the pain started to subside. Most recently i have started running again and i my foot has been great so i would definitely recommend to anyone suffering with Plantar Fasciitis.

Which one of these is your running right now?

People get to this page from different places. Most of them are on this list.

  • You are not running. You stopped to let it settle, and you are waiting to find out whether it worked.

  • You are running, but not your mileage. You came down to a number your foot would put up with, and you have been at that number ever since.

  • You start fine, and somewhere in the run it starts. You turn back short of where you meant to go, and you tell yourself you will get the rest of it next time.

  • You are still doing the runs, and paying for them. The distance is there, but it is slower than it was, or it finds you afterwards.

  • You build back up, and it comes back. You have done this once already, maybe more than once, and each time the heel goes and takes the whole thing with it.

Different runs, one cause. The band under your arch is torn where it meets your heel, and every stride pulls on it again.

Whichever line was yours, that is the part this is for.

The first month

What 30 days of this actually looks like

What 30 days of this actually looks like What 30 days of this actually looks like
1

Day 1. The support is on from the first step you take in it.

The arch gives way less from the moment it goes on, so far less of that pull reaches the sore part on that first stride and on every one after it.

On that first run the heel hurts less than it does now, and it starts later into the run than it does now. And that evening there is less of it waiting for you than there usually is.

2

The first week. The run gets longer.

Nothing is healing here and we are not going to tell you it is. What changes is how much you are carrying. Far less goes in on each stride, so far less has piled up by the end of the run, and there is less of it waiting for you on the next one. The point where you cut it short moved on the first run. By the end of the week it is further out again.

3

Week two and three. The mileage comes back.

By now you have had two or three weeks of runs that cost your foot nearly nothing, and the distance comes back with them. The number you had cut down to, you are going past it again, and you are going past it much more often.

4

Day 30. Judge it on the miles you are running.

It works while it is on, and that is not going to change.

But thirty days of your foot not taking that pull is thirty days of it not being set off again. Nothing is being piled back on between runs, so you start each run from less than you start from now.

So the run you go out for on day 30 starts from a foot that is not already sore. You do the distance, and the foot is not the thing you are managing the whole way round.

What should be different by now is the running itself: how far you go, how often, and what it costs you afterwards. If it is not, you get your money back in full, any time inside 30 days.

Straight answers

What it does, and what it does not

What it does

  • ✓

Takes far less of the pull into every stride, so it hurts much less and the point where you cut the run short moves a long way out.

  • ✓

Gives you back the mileage you had cut down, and lets you run it more often, because the run costs your foot so much less.

  • ✓

Does all of that in every pair in your rotation.

  • ✓

Does it from the first step you take in it, and does more for the foot the more days it has been on.

What it does not do

  • ✗

It does not heal anything. We are not going to tell you it is repairing the tissue, because nobody can show you that. What it does instead is take the load off every stride, for as long as it is on.

  • ✗

It will not put your old mileage back in the first week. If you have been off it or down to a short loop, you still build back up. What changes straight away is what the run feels like. Each stride costs the heel almost nothing, so there is far less pain and it comes far later, and far less of it waiting for you that evening. The number climbs from there.

  • ✗

It will not disappear inside a tight shoe. If a pair is already tight on you, it will be tighter with this in it.

Due to a combination of age and not acting my age, I developed plater fasciitis. This has helped in relief of the pain and getting me on the road to recovery. I have been pleased so far with the product. People have noticed my walking has improved and my running has been less painful and I feel that I am getting a close to normal again.

My arches tend to collapse several kilometers into a hike or run. These seem to actually provide support to keep my arch elevated! I think the compression helps with circulation as well. Very impressed.

I ordered for plantar fasciitis and have been wearing quite a bit for the last 3 weeks. Definitely relieved pain when wearing but I haven’t yet noticed a decrease in the inflammation in general when I’m not wearing the brace. Next step, trying the exercises and stretches in conjunction....also bought a massage tool to see if that helps. Comfortable to wear, although sometimes a little bulky inside my running shoe depending on the socks I wear. Overall, worth the try!

Questions

Before you decide

My foot is worst first thing in the morning. Is this still for me?

Yes, though not on the first morning, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. It goes on when you get up, so the first few steps of day one are still the first few steps of day one.

Where it gets at them is from the other end. Your morning is made by the day before it. Wear it through the day and far less of that pull goes into the sore part on every step, so there is far less of it piling up for the next morning to deal with.

Which is why it is usually the first week where people notice the mornings going quiet, and why they keep getting easier the longer it is being worn.

It is not a night splint and it comes off at night.

Will it slide down or move about during the day?

No. It anchors behind the heel and across the instep and locks at the ankle, so it stays where you set it.

Can I sleep in it?

Better not to. Compression is for when you are up and moving, not for lying still for eight hours. Wear it for the part of the day you are on your feet and take it off at night.

Will my foot get weaker if I lean on it?

No, and the difference matters.

A rigid insole is a shelf your foot rests on. The arch sits on top of it and stops doing the work, and a part of the body that stops doing work gets weaker at it.

This is a strap, and it shares the load rather than taking it away. Your arch is still working on every stride and still feeling the ground. It is just not carrying all of it on the part that is torn. That is also why you set how much the straps take, and why you can take less as you go.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle with a mild detergent. Air dry or tumble dry on low.

No iron, no bleach, no fabric softener, no dry cleaning.

Can I keep using my insoles with it?

Yes. It goes on your foot the way a sock does, so your insole stays in the shoe and carries on working underneath it.

I have had plantar fasciitis for years. Is it too late for this to help?

No. It is not working on how long you have had it, it is working on the load going through your foot on today’s run.

Ten years in, the arch still gives way when you land and your heel still takes the pull. Take that pull down and it comes down the same as it would for someone who got it last month.

Thirty days, measured in miles

The thirty days start the day it arrives. Put it on, run in it, and judge it on the thing you actually care about. How far you got. How often you went. What it cost you afterwards.

If none of that is any different, you get your money back in full, any time inside those thirty days.

Nobody decides to stop running.

It goes the other way round. The mileage comes down a little at a time, and every time it comes down you have a reason that sounds fair. None of them is a decision, and that is exactly why they add up.
